Grenada Honeymoon Review: A Caribbean Escape That Feels Effortless

Some places make you slow down the moment you arrive. Grenada is one of them. From the warmth of the people to the way the island blends powder-soft beaches with lush, green mountains, this honeymoon felt relaxed, intentional, and deeply restorative.

Caroline, one of our advisors, experienced Grenada on her own honeymoon, and it’s easy to see why couples fall in love with the island. The trip was designed to showcase two very different styles of luxury: timeless beachfront hospitality and modern, design-forward elegance. Together, they created a honeymoon that felt both grounding and exciting. The kind of trip you wish you could relive in slow motion.

Pre-Night Stay: Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove (The Honeymoon Before the Beach)

2 Nights | Waterfront | Perfectly Relaxing & Convenient

Caroline’s honeymoon started even before reaching Grenada, with an overnight in Miami to make the travel stress-free. The Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove is quiet, polished, and just 20 minutes from MIA… far more enjoyable than a typical airport hotel.

Her high-floor king room with partial bay views, marble bathroom, and balcony overlooking Coconut Grove felt like a mini escape. An evening of waterfront drinks at Bayshore Club and dinner at Koko by Bakan turned this stopover into a relaxed start to the honeymoon, setting the tone for the island ahead.

First Impressions of Grenada

Arrival was refreshingly simple. A small airport, friendly customs officers, and a smooth transfer meant Caroline was on island time almost immediately. Grenada feels welcoming in a way that’s hard to manufacture. It’s clean, safe, and unpretentious. A place where culture and nature still take center stage. The people are warm and genuinely kind, and that energy carries through the entire experience.

Stay One: Spice Island Beach Resort

4 Nights | Beachfront | All-Inclusive

Spice Island is the kind of place where you exhale the moment you arrive. Caroline’s beachfront suite opened directly onto Grand Anse Beach, with the sound of the ocean just beyond the terrace. Mornings began with bare feet in the sand and coffee overlooking the water. Afternoons were never crowded, evenings intimate and relaxing.

What sets Spice Island apart is the service. Every interaction felt personal, warm, and effortless. Names were remembered. Preferences anticipated. The dining was exceptional and far beyond what most travelers expect from an all-inclusive experience.

Stay Two: Silversands Grenada

3 Nights | Grand Anse

Silversands offers a striking contrast, and that’s why the split worked so well. Sleek, modern, and visually dramatic, it feels fresh and stylish without being overwhelming. Floor to ceiling windows frame the ocean, and the long infinity pool stretching toward the beach is a destination in itself. Caroline loved the chic, elevated energy here, perfect for couples who enjoy design, great pools, and a slightly livelier vibe.

Experiencing the Island

Grenada’s greatest strength is how much it offers beyond the resort. Caroline especially enjoyed a sunset sail on calm Caribbean waters—a moment where time seemed to slow and everything felt perfectly in place. A full-day island tour revealed rainforest, waterfalls, and mountain views, reminding her that this island is as lush as it is beautiful.

Why Grenada Works So Well for Honeymooners

It strikes a rare balance: relaxed but not sleepy, luxurious without feeling staged, romantic without being isolating. Perfect for couples who want beach time and substance, to unwind but also connect with their surroundings.
