Hello, Ireland!

Welcome to IRELAND!

Emiy + Amberley's’ first trip across the big pond since the C-word hit - and boy was magical. Fall in Ireland is special! With fires roaring in every room, you get a cozy yet adventurous trip full of history and traditional experiences!

We had the absolute pleasure of traveling with Adams & Butler throughout Southern Ireland to get a taste of all the this beautiful country has to offer. We stayed in 6 different hotels, one every night, and also saw multiple hotels every day. We did this in order to create the best Irish adventures for YOU in the future!

First stop, Dublin

We flew into Dublin and went straight to The Westin Dublin, which just underwent a slight renovation, and was absolutely beautiful. We hit the ground running and started with a 3 hour walking tour of Dublin - the perfect way to fight jet lag!

We stopped at the Shelbourne for lunch and a site visit - a beautiful luxury hotel off of St Stephen’s Green Park.

After lunch we headed back to the Westin for a welcome cocktail party and a very grand dinner in the Banking Hall, which used to be an actual bank. The Westin renovated it into a beautiful space for private dinner parties, conventions, meetings, etc!

DAY 2, Out of the city we go!

After breakfast, we took off and headed out of the city towards just south of Kilkenny to check out Mount Juliet Estate… an absolutely stunning property! This property has two distinct buildings, the first being Hunters Yard - the more modern accommodation.

And then there is the Manor House - a more traditional approach to Irish countryside accommodations! They even have a Michelin Star restaurant that is absolutely delicious.  From golf, to horseback riding, to salmon fishing, to a warm indoor pool + spa area, there is something for everyone!

The next stop today was Longueville House - a private home that can be rented out for up to 26 people. You have complete reign of the entire property and home during your stay. They grow and cook everything on site, even their own cider! They grow the apples, and turn it into cold or hot hard cider and it is phenomenal! You can fish, hike, forage, and more. A good location for a big family, group of friends, or corporate trips!

We ended today by checking in to the wonderful Europe Hotel in Killarney and it was love at first sight when we saw the view from our rooms!!! The view is by far the selling point, as well as the 50,000 sq ft spa…. We were wishing we could have spent an entire day at the spa alone!

A fun thing to do in Kilarney is a Jaunting Car Tour of Kilarney National Park. These horse and buggy’s are passed down from generation to generation to give these incredible tours of the park… not just anyone can start a business like this, it legally has to be passed down to you… so cool! A cool way to get to Ross Castle.

Another property we checked out in Killarney was Muckross Park Hotel. This hotel is right on the edge of Killarney National Park, and offers bikes to be able to take around the 40 mile park! Unlike the Europe Hotel, they also offer complimentary drivers into the main city center, and back home when you are finished having a Guinness at the pub or shopping til you drop! Don’t forget to try their afternoon tea … it’s phenomenal!

Next Stop: Doonbeg

Today we checked in to Trump Doonbeg International Hotel & Golf Links - home of a world renowned championship golf course and incredible oceanfront views! We were put in the 3 bedroom ocean front suite which was absolutely stunning. With a cozy living room featuring a fire place, and constant views of the beach and golf course, its perfect for groups and families to come and relax. The service was also top knotch!

Cliffs of Moher

What a breathtaking experience… It took me a while to come up with the words to describe this place, because it truly does live up to the hype. Seeing people pour in and watching their facial expressions as they saw it for the first time was absolutely priceless. You can’t come to Ireland without visiting at least some part of the west coast!

Food, Music + Heritage Tour

One of our trips highlights was a Food, Music, and Heritage Tour arranged (like everything else) by Adams and Butler! It was such a cool way to see parts of the country we otherwise wouldn’t, like Micil Distillery! They distill a few types of liquor but are most famously known for Poitin, which is like whiskey moonshine! They have been distilling it for 6 generations, with this one to be the first to make it legally…. shhhh. ;) We even heard music live from Sarah Costello, Ireland’s Top Young Musician of 2021!

After Micil Distillery we moved on to a traditional pub, Keane’s Pub, in Galway for some Guinness and Irish Coffees before heading to our next hotel…

Ashford Castle

Ashford Castle is a real genuine castle with loads of history. It was probably one of my absolute favorite stops on the trip. No two rooms are the same, the technology and service is exceptional considering it is an historical building, but the property is more than a hotel, it is truly an immersive experience!

“This 800-year-old castle is truly remarkable, a grand, historic structure with national significance. The former home of the Guinness family, it has hosted countless notables over the years, including The Prince of Wales (who later became King George V) and President Ronald Reagan.”

Adare Manor

For our last night in Ireland we moved to Adare Manor, which is kind of like a castle, but different! This property is so special. Upon arrival we got to experience the incredible falconry that they have on location! Their golf course is also the only golf course in the world that has underground technology that drains and drys the course year round… super cool. It is quite the lavish experience, with a Michelin star restaurant, 800+ acres of parkland, and incredible spa, you will feel quite at home on your trip to Ireland!
