St Lucia, you have our hearts...

We went to St Lucia. It was everything and then some. Let’s dive in.

Let’s start from the beginning, shall we?! The travel day to get there isn’t terrible. 2 flights and a 2 hour drive. (We recommend arranging VIP meet and greet ahead of time!) However, we rolled onto the property around dinner time, and left Nashville around 5am. We definitely recommend 5+ days to make it worth it and really have time to enjoy the island! The way back is no where near as bad, because flights out are around 4pm, so you get most of the day to soak up the sun before heading to the airport!

All entry requirements are lifted, so you are free to travel here regardless of testing, vaccination status, etc.

Okay, let’s jump into the good stuff! We kicked off our time at Body Holiday, an all inclusive wellness centered resort on the north end of the island. Made up of 155 rooms + villas, you are bound to leave better than you came! Their slogan, “Give us your body for a week, and we’ll give you back your mind"…” rings true!

Not only are there activities, workshops, and fitness classes offered constantly from 7am to 7pm+, but you also receive 1 complimentary 50min spa treatment PER DAY, included…. Let me say that again….

YOU GET TO GO TO THE SPA FOR FREE EVERY SINGLE DAY?!!??!!

You heard us right… what a cool way to be as relaxed or as busy as you want on vacay. Perfect for couples or groups of friends that all have a different idea of what vacation should look like. 😅

All of their food is organic farm to table. You can even take a tour of their gardens and have a private ITAL dinner at their pavilion at the top of the gardens - for an additional cost of $99 / person for dinner.

Another thing to note, that while it is health and Ayurvedic focused, they still offer alcohol on property that is included in your all inclusive package!

Unfortunately, we only had 2 nights here, but if you have the chance to go, we highly recommend it!

Our next stop was the stunning Cap Maison, about 5 minutes down the road, so it is also on the north end of the island. This property is family owned, and you can truly sense that from the minute you step on property!

It’s a small boutique hotel with 49 rooms and suites, as well as some of the best views I have ever seen. Since it’s smaller, their attention to detail is next level and the staff is ready to help with any and everything you need.

The food is seriously some of the best on the island. Lucky for you, they offer an inclusive meal plan so you can freely try any and all menu items!

The steps lead down to a stunning cove beach with a great beach bar and restaurant - makes for a perfect day.

We highly recommend reserving the private dining experience, Rock Maison for champagne and a sunset dinner one night while visiting. Once you pick out your champagne, they send it down to you via zipline - quite a fun and unique experience!

Another “must do” is the wine cellar dinner… oh my goodness. Absolutely incredible!

Pro Tip - If you are on the north end on a Friday night - the locals street party is a must for the adventurous traveler looking for a taste of the local life! Beer, street food vendors, a DJ, and LOTS of dancing!

When doing a split stay between a property on the north end of the island, and the south - we recommend taking a full bout day + tour as your transfer! You visit the waterfalls, snorkel, and even go to the famous natural hot springs and thermal baths! Definitely one of the trips highlights… my skin is still baby smooth!

Our third and final stop, was the very well-known Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort. And to say it lived up to the hype is an understatement! We spent 3 short nights here and definitely wish it could have been longer!

We kicked it off with a tour of the property before checking into our (not so little) bungalows - complete with plunge pool, views of the Pitons, and your very own butler! I mean, the pictures speak for themselves… wow.

Centered right between the UNESCO world heritage site - the stunning Pitons, you are constantly surrounded by breathtaking views…

One thing to make sure you do here is a treatment at the Rainforest Spa. Personally, this was the best massage I have ever had. Highly recommend this!

The beach area is one of the best on the island and is home to the most amazing snorkeling. Some (Jen) would describe it as Disney under water ;)
